Saya “terbaca” artikel Harian Metro yang berjudul “Ramai Ganti Nasi Dengan Roti”. This is was an interview with Chef Ismail. Walaupun I don’t want to comment much about why a not-so-slim Chef is giving health tips (You don’t see my giving out recepis…hahahah) as his advice for the most part was actually very bernas! Hahah no offense to Chef who is a very nice guy indeed!

Roti Bukan Makanan Seimbang!
I would just like to correct the misleading statement by Harian Metro that roti bukanlah makanan yang bernutrien seimbang. Why not? Sebab roti, just like rice, is loading with carbohydrates. Just like rice. Walaubagaimanapun kedua2 adalah sumber tenaga yang baik di Malaysia atau mana-mana.

if i may add, milk (low fat) actually is a great balanced meal! Thats why kita kecik-kecik “hisap” susu :D

Yep, if we could only continue taking that “mother’s milk” now like we used to when we’re an infant, that’ll be great. With all that nutritions, we’ll be virtually free from all kind of sickness. Sighhh…. but what we have now is just cow milk, nothing more nothing else.
Kev dude, was it you posing in a local health magazine ads for a running competition? Well, I’m already registered for the run and look forward for it. Perhaps u could share yr own tips preparing for short run like that.

calorie database soon???? its like dream comes true.. =) i find it so hard to get info on calories utk msian food..ader in few sites but its definately limited..n cant wait for all the cafes n restaurants in msia to publish the nutritional info of their menus.. ive read abt this in local newspaper mayb a month ago..

Haha Kevin, are you suggesting that we go back to what we used to do… hisap susu mak kita, dah besar panjang ni? Memang nak kena lempang dengan mak! Susu mak lembu je yang ada, yenna dey…
Kalau badan dah banyak lemak, can we skip the “fat” portion in our meal. No rice, reduce bread intake. Makan sayur, buah, dan ayam je. Workout 2-3 jam sehari. Bila rasa lapar, minum air mineral. What say you? Selamat tak?

actually makanan seimbang adalah hidangan yang mempunyai sumber daripada karbohidrat, protein dan lemak dalam jumlah yang seimbang..plus fiber daripada buah-buahan dan sayur-sayuran, so every meal must has dat principle..easy rite? and for kevin ur idea to develop Malaysian food calorie database adalah satu idea yang sangat bagus..can help nutrition and dietetics student to explore….

so far the ratio is 50-60% CHO, 15-20% protein and 25-30% fat..untuk individu sihat..sebab jika 15% fat, akan mengurangkan palatibility sesuatu makanan dan 30% protein daripada keperluan akan memberi beban kepada buah pinggang kita..so makan secara sederhana, seimbang dan pelbagai…

saya ni berumur 44 tahun , berkahwin dan mempunyai 3 org anak, berat badan saya adalah 94kg dan tinggi saya 165cm. Saya ingin menurunkan berat badan saya ke 75 ataupun 80 kg… saya minta Kevin membantu saya dlm masalah ini.

Saya berumur 33 tahun dan mempunyai 4 anak. Saya baru 3 bulan habis bersalin. Masalahnya saya ingin menurunkan berat badan yang kini mencecah 58kg dan perut buncit.Ketinggian hanya 152. Boleh tak beri tips dan menu seimbang untuk saya ke berat yang ideal.

hi im hana,im 17 years old…this year hana akan ambik spm..but i have a big problem, hana skrng nak diet coz berat hana 95kg..hana nie active juga main baminton and ikut sports..skrng hana tak makan nasi dah 1 week..dulu berat hana pernah sampai 106 kg,after that hana diet hana tak ambik nasi selama 3 bulan then berat hana turun ke 94..tp skrng naik lagi..coz baru2 nie time di jakarta hana da makan nasi,konon2 nak try nasi kat indonesia,tp rupa2nye rase same je..lps tu trus mkn nasi…tp hana risau coz hana tak tau diet yang seimbang..lagipun hana takut kalau2 apa yg hana makan tu mempengaruhi otak hana,coz this year is very important to me..hana tak taw apa yg patut dimakan dan tidak…pls help me bro…i need your help..

2days ago, i timbang berat kt shopg mall..then i figure it trn 2kg..OMG!!. now my weight is 37kg..just now, clculate my bmi= 14.5…i realy undrwieght…height= 160cm, weight= 37kg…sometimes i rsau of my weight…any tips can share with me..cmne nk capai brt bdn yg ideal…
