The strength of ‘Cikgu Fitness’
KUALA LUMPUR: There is definitely more to Kevin Zahri, the well-known Cikgu Fitness from the reality series Akademi Fantasia, than meets the eyes.
The macho-looking 29-year-old is not only a television host but also a health and fitness entrepreneur who has founded two Internet portals, namely maxtrition.com.my and maxhosting.com.my.
I am a person who has a lot of belief in myself and I started the business because I did not want to work for a paycheque but wanted to do something that makes me happy,
Refusing to be bound by a 9 to 5 job, Kevin decided to launch maxtrition.com.my, an online supplement store, at the age of 25 four years ago.
“I am a person who has a lot of belief in myself and I started the business because I did not want to work for a paycheque but wanted to do something that makes me happy,” he said.
Kevin will be one of the speakers at the National Youth Entrepreneur Convention during the three-day MCA 9-Point Party Platform Exhibition at Putra World Trade Centre from Jan 18.
The mechanical engineering and economics graduate will tell the audience of his experience as a young entrepreneur in this country.
As a person who has a lot of self-belief, Kevin’s advice to the youngsters who want to start their own business is that there is no shortcut to success.
For more information on the exhibition, call the MCA headquarters at 03-2161 8044 (ext 420) or visit www.mca.org.my.
